Zola is 19 months old (approx. DOB 3-21-19), female, 40 lbs., vetted, is or will be spayed, and micro-chipped. Zola reminds us so much of Sebastian! She was found homeless in North Carolina. Because she tested positive for heartworms (has since been treated), as many dogs we save are, no one wanted her and she was out of time! She is now ready to make her trip to Vermont! At the shelter per the shelter staff Zola is very treated motivated, is a happy wiggly girl, who tested well with other dogs. Zola calms with petting and attention and wants to engage with people; very friendly! From her VT Fosters: Zola does well with other dogs, has a prey drive so probably won’t do well with cats. She is crate trained, potty trained and has no signs of separation anxiety.
Zola is low-medium energy and still learning to walk well on leash and knows some basic commands such as Sit, Paw, Wait, Drop, Off and Come…still working on Leave it and Down. She is a power chewer so only the best Nyla bones for her!! Zola is a loyal, loving and playful pup. She is a happy gal who likes to wiggle and bounce around when she gets excited. Stay tuned for more information as Zola is a new rescue!
