Waylon is 12 mos. old (approx. DOB 10-22-18), male, 20 lbs., vetted, is or will be neutered, and micro-chipped. Waylon needs an Intermediate or more experienced home to be his happies and succeed. Per his current Vermont Foster: he is house trained and working on crate training but is very well behaved when left in the house alone. He absolutely loves to play with other dogs, large and small, and is submissive in nature. He loves to go walking, jogging, hiking, play fetch, play tug, and go on adventures in the woods. He is medium energy but definitely a puppy. He has very nice manners and is highly motivated by treats, so very trainable. He takes treats very gently and is very polite. He is a little bit too excited to play with cats and will probably be too much for most cats. Waylon had a very rough life before coming to VT and was afraid of human touch when he arrived. He has come a very long way in the last 3 months but his new family needs to be patient with his shyness and some of his fears. Once he trusts his environment and builds a bond with his humans he loves to follow you from room to room and sit with you waiting for petting. He is an extremely sweet dog and just wants to feel safe. Waylon is a fantastic little dog!
