Waylon is 18 mos old (approx. DOB tba), male, 20 lbs., vetted, is or will be neutered, and micro-chipped. Per his current Vermont Foster: Waylon is good with other dogs, kids (probably not small unpredictable children), has low-medium energy, has a prey drive so no cats please, and potty trained. He does not like being crated; he is afraid of it. He is however, a very good boy in the house and only chews his bones and has not done anything destructive at all. He also does not try to jump on the furniture which is awesome. Waylon is completely worth the work and he is going be a fantastic dog but we would say it will take more like months than weeks for him to acclimate to a new environment and people. Waylon arrived to us very petrified of human touch. He has made great progress at his foster home with the help of a behaviorist, patience, empathy, and with the help of his foster sister (resident dog). Waylon still has a lot of fears and will revert back into that running away behavior if he feels stressed. We believe he needs to be with another dog. Stay tuned for more information as Waylon is a new rescue!
