Tarzan is 3 1/2 years old (approx. DOB 12-25-17), male, 51 lbs., vetted, is or will be neutered, and micro-chipped. Tarzan was found with another pup as a homeless stray; he was a shelter staff favorite! Per the staff he is very lovable and enjoys affection, was great with the little dogs in the exam room, and is all wags! Tarzan loves to give hugs! Since arriving to Vermont he has medium+ energy, and is working on learning proper social etiquette with other dogs he meets (proper introductions always a must with dogs that don’t know each other). He is learning not to jump and is mouthy expressive so kids are not a fit. He has loving big brown eyes and adorable short legs! He has an inherent prey drive (breed mix but we are not certain of exactly what mix he has). Tarzan would love a home that has Intermediate experience, in a rural area, center of attention with no other pets to keep him on his current path of success (2 Training sessions included with Adoption)! He is a GREAT best friend and would love daily walks and a fairly active lifestyle. He loves structure and is very treat motivated which helps his training!
