Roxy is 2 years old (approx. DOB 10-20-18), female, 57 lbs., vetted, is or will be spayed, and micro-chipped. Roxy was surrendered to the shelter by her family (we believe she was found as a stray and they couldn’t keep her). She seemed really sad, scared, and confused in the shelter. Don’t worry Roxy; you are safe now! She knows Sit and takes treats gently. She tested well with other dogs and seems a little shy of men. She loves to get the zoomies in the yard! Roxy would do best in a home with another dog so she can play and still learn to be around new people. She can adjust to a home with cats, but she might need a couple reminders to “leave the cat alone”. Roxy would also like older teenage kids. She is a little nervous around young kids and still likes to jump. Roxy is low-medium energy, knows “sit”, “down” and “come” and even knows “go pee”! She is crate trained and will even go right in when you say “crate”. Roxy loves fetch and loves to play in general but also just loves to hang out on the couch with you. Her VT Foster mom says Roxy loves affection and will literally kiss you everywhere; she is known for overwhelming her new people friends with kisses. Stay tuned for more information as Roxy is a new rescue!
