TRI-PAWD
Mika is approx. 2 1/2 years old (DOB 1-14-17), female, 58 lbs., vetted, is or will be spayed, and micro-chipped. ! Mika was found missing a foot; it is possible she got caught in an inhumane trap but we do not know for sure. Miss Mika’s confidence was very poor and she could not use her leg for stability. The Vet recommended amputation for a variety of reasons. Now that she is a tri-pawd Mika’s confidence doing wonderfully! In her SC foster home Mika gets along well with other dogs (would prefer another dog in the home, she is good with kids however is very scared of them, crate trained, has tested well with a cat (and does not exhibit a prey drive toward smaller animals), loves to go for rides in the car, and does not exhibit any separation anxiety. Mika is a quieter girl with low to medium energy; she is scared of thunder and fireworks so it is best to be aware of this to help her. Mika is very shy and gentle. It takes a while for her to warm up to her person. She needs someone that will continue to work on her socialization. She has come a long way and has shown big improvements. She loves to sleep on the couch and on the bed (being allowed on furniture is a must for this pretty girl). She needs a quiet home. She is very sweet and shy and she loves to play in the backyard with her foster siblings! Stay tuned for more information as Mika is a new rescue!
