Maxx is approx. 2 years old, about 15 lbs vetted, will be neutered, and micro-chipped. In his current caretakers home Maxx liveds with another dog, 2 cats, loves to go for car rides, has medium energy, is very sweet and definitely a lap dog. He loves to be touching you or sleeping at your feet and he is a very affectionate and a very happy pup. Maxx would do best in a home that can teach him the basics and is home more than not…………he wants to be with his humans a majority of his time and as much as possible. Maxx had a rough go when he arrived to Vermont; he was diagnosed with heartworms which needed and has been treated but could not yet be neutered because of the heartworms. We will be neutering him at our Vet soon. He experiences separation anxiety when his humans leave him. Maxx would benefit from a home that can work with him to build his confidence, teach him the basics, and provide him with patience and empathy while he learns and transitions. Changes are very difficult for dogs; but we believe he will be a great furry family member in the right home. Stay tuned for more information as Maxx is a new rescue!
