Mandy is only 3 years old (approx. DOB 10-31-16), female, 61 lbs., vetted, is or will be spayed, and micro-chipped. Mandy’s SC caretakers say she and her pup Candy are amazing pups just recipients of bad luck being homeless. Mandy is incredibly strong and needs an experienced adult handler when out on walks (not kids). Mandy has been a momma at least 1x we know, loves kids, and is super gentle. She’s low-moderate energy, gets along with her foster cat, and has not needed to be crated. She is not destructive and no indoor accidents in her foster!
**IN SC AT HER FOSTER** Mandy was with her daughter Candy, was good with the other stray dogs in her “pack”, good with cats, good with kids, has medium energy, appears to be house trained, and is a quieter girl! Since in Vermont Candy and Mandy had to be separated as we couldnt find a foster together.
Per her Vermont Foster: “She has been very friendly with people and great with smaller dogs; she will respond to larger dogs that try to bully her. She is potty trained, likes car rides, Mandy “Sits” like a charm. She is very gentle when receiving a treat. Her mouth is soft and shey is a quieter dog and sleeps most of the day. She entertains herself with her toys and can “catch” her toys when she tosses them. She loves to sit on the couch and be pet. She is sweet, loyal, and entertaining. Sometimes she thinks she is a lap dog and she is would stay there all day if she could! She accepts food (even the smallest amounts) very gently. She is working on “Shake” and “Come”. Mandy is alone for 4-6 hours per day and we have put her our bedroom. Nothing has been destroyed, after little wimpering she settles down. I presume she can be left with full access to our home without any problem.Mandy is a good reliable and polite dog in your home. She is quiet & playful but not rambuncteous. Her agility is impressive.”
