Maizy is 6 years old (approx. DOB 11-9-18), female, 33 lbs., vetted, is or will be spayed, and micro-chipped. Maizy was witnessed being purposely abandoned at a store in Burlington. However, we strongly feel it was a cry for help as she is very well taken care of, had a jacket on, and even had her nails trimmed. She is like a baby being left on the church steps. We were fortunate to work with the PD to have her turned over to us. There was another dog seen attached to the person who left her and we would invite whoever needs help to consider contacting our inbox or emailing [email protected], in confidentiality, if we can help find that pup a loving home also.
Maizy is potty trained, low-medium energy, dog social, sensitive, adventurous, and very social with people; she loves to sleep on the bed with her humans. She of course, is a Beagle, so knowledge of the breed is helpful so she can get her breed needs to “work” her nose. Her best home will be local, have another dog/dogs, little alone time, and a large securely fenced yard would be a bonus. She will be an indoor family pet and will not be adopted to anyone thinking she’ll be kept outside as a hunting dog…….we will be sure to follow-up.
