Maci is 3 years old (approx. DOB 6-7-17), female, 50 lbs., vetted, is or will be spayed, and micro-chipped. Maci was found homeless and scared in NC! She assessed well with other dogs at the shelter and is a wiggle butt (which she loves to have scratched) happy girl!

“Hi, Maci has been great!! She is so smart and sweet!! Maci really is just a happy girl who just wants to be loved at all times!! She seems just so excited to meet everybody!! We went slow introducing her to Reacher (our dog) and were really intentional about how we brought them together and they are doing so well together right now. She’s definitely way more into him than he is into her at this point but overall we’re really excited about how they are meshing together. Better than we expected so far!!! As I am typing this both are just super chill together at the moment!
Maci thinks she is a lap dog and just follows you around wanting to crawl up in your lap to get scratches and pets. She is really sharp and seems to pick up on things quickly and is highly treat motivated, which definitely helps. She seems very familiar with her crate and a few times has gone in there willingly to take a rest. She walks pretty well with the harness, better than I expected!! These past few days she seems to have enjoyed snoozing/lying next to me while I work.
We are still taking things really slow with the cat, honestly still unsure about that relationship at this point. We are keeping them separate right now, trying to slowly let them familiarize themselves with each other in a safe and controlled way. Maci and I are starting to work on impulse control before we moved towards a next step with the cat.”
Overall Maci is just an amazing pup, who is super sharp, picks up on things really quickly, and is just so charming in her looking for love and affection.
