Lyra is about 10-months-old old (approx. DOB 1-1-20), female, 35 lbs., vetted, is or will be spayed, and micro-chipped. Lyra is part of a Vermont surrender case with her family (Tonya, Rachel, Aspen, Montana, Lyra, Dakota, and Copper). Lyra is a young pup who we have recently found has a B12 deficiency. She will need a family that will give her everything a young dog needs – training in addition to regular B12 injections and medical care. Her ideal home would be one that is experienced, active, and secure. She does demonstrate a prey drive so no cats and she does well with other dogs with proper introductions, another dog may help her with her separation anxiety. She will need someone to keep her mind exercised given her suspected breed mix of Shepherd and Husky. This is VERY important for her happiness and balance. She does well with training when there are no distractions and has learned to love treats and toys! Her favorite place to be is outside on the porch or laying in the lawn-a fully fenced in porch or yard would be a bonus she would absolutely love. Stay tuned for more information as Lyra is a new rescues!
