This is what “Rescue” is all about!
Joanie is 10+ years old (approx. DOB tbd), female, 40 lbs., vetted, is or will be spayed, and micro-chipped. Joanie and her family were found inside a home where their owner was admitted to the hospital for COVID. Someone had mentioned they thought there were animals in the home although they did not get out much. These pups were clearly neglected for quite some time and the shelter was going to put them down. We screamed no way! We rescued them and got them out of the shelter so they could begin getting medical care and start their recovery! Joanie was brought to the shelter at 20 lbs! She is now 40 lbs. Her skin and fur have healed tremendously in the 3 months on foster care! It is amazing what a little love, time, TLC, quality food, and a vet visit can do!
