Dobby is 2 years old (approx. DOB 11-20-17), male, 42 lbs., vetted, is or will be neutered, and micro-chipped. While in SC his foster said Dobby is good with other dogs with proper introductions (he has higher energy), was a quiet boy, loved all people, and was potty trained. He now in his Vermont foster dynamics is insecure about his place in the world and what his purpose of life is. Dobby is crate trained (but does not like it), loves car rides, would love an active lifestyle (walks, etc.). Dobby was amazing in his SC environmental dynamics (they said no cats but he doesn’t show a prey drive toward smaller animals currently). However after being in his Vermont foster home with totally different dynamics, he is in the City, Dobby has become over stimulated by people and doesn’t like loud noises; we would say sort of hyper-sensitive. He is nervous and insecure around people he doesn’t know and he is expressive about that. We would love to see someone step up for this boy who has been bounced around and essentially is unwanted……………….no wonder he is anxious! Although he is good with other dogs he would love to be the center of someone’s world and not have to learn to share toys, treats, etc. He needs a security blanket adopter who has intermediate experience. He loves the people he lives with and bonds with very much and loves to cuddle. We believe with a consistent schedule, a structured knowledgeable home with less stimulus (lots of people, visitors coming and going, multiple dogs, and noises like the city), he will be such an amazing dog like he was in SC before coming to Vermont. He has been let down since arriving here and now again needs a soft place to land; a committed soft place to land.
