Dexter is almost 10 years old, male (approx. DOB 12-28-13), 50 lbs., vetted, is or will be neutered, and micro-chipped.
Dexter is very sad; he was adopted from Passion 4 Paws in January 2017 by his wonderful dad who loves him very much! Let’s please help this family, who is already sad, find a loving home so his dad will gain some peace knowing his best friend will be ok! We think he could be a Pointer X!
“Due to my father’s advancing Alzheimer’s and the upcoming move to a pet-restricted facility, we urgently need to find a new home for Dexter, his cherished companion. Dexter is a 10-year-old rescue dog who has been a tremendously loving and loyal friend to my dad for the past seven years, sharing a quiet, stable environment exclusively with him. This close bond means that transitioning to a new home could be somewhat stressful for Dex, as he’s not accustomed to significant changes. He’s in search of a pet-free, adult-only household that offers a good amount of peace and quiet. The ideal home for Dexter would be with those who are not only familiar with dogs but also comfortable and patient with them, understanding that adjusting to a new environment might take him a bit of time. Despite these challenges, Dexter’s affectionate nature and unwavering loyalty make him a deeply rewarding companion, well worth the effort to meet his needs.
