Dawson is 1 1/2 years old (approx. DOB 8-14-18), male, 58 lbs., vetted, is or will be neutered, and micro-chipped. Dawson was found homeless in NC and ended up at the shelter out of time! He was wearing a collar and Rabies tag when he was found that was tracked back to SC! The owner information was called but no one ever called back or came to get him 
He was abandoned left to fend for himself poor boy! P4P saved him to find him a loving fun home in Vermont! P4P saw and rescued him just in time! Per the shelter staff Dawson is very friendly and comes to the kennel door to greet them. He is very playful and is a strong boy that would do best to learn leash walking on a harness. He is an active boy and would love an active home where he can get exercise daily as he is still a toddler. He did very well in his dog to dog assessment with play bowing and showing very positive interactions. Lower energy dogs might not take as kindly to his puppyish personaility. It does not appear anyone loved him long enough to teach him the basics so he is very much looking forward to learning!
Per his Vermont Foster family: “He loves to play, but not as much as he loves to snuggle. He walks well on a leash, is food driven, learns tricks quickly (sit, down, paw), and is the goofiest/funniest boy!”
