Bruno is 5 years old (DOB 7-19-14), male, 63 lbs., vetted, is or will be neutered, and micro-chipped.
From the shelter staff: “Jupiter walks fairly well on a leash, being curious but non-reactive to passing other dogs. In the treatment room, he was interested in the kittens in cages but did not respond negatively. One swatted him and he backed away. On a walk, he listens to his handler. He will sit for treats and occasionally will jump up for more, but when corrected to sit, he does so immediately. During exam, minimal restraint was needed and he did not object to any handling during procedure. He is very food motivated and will take treats gently. He’s a big slobber bucket so expect to get wet. In the office, he settles down and likes to lay on the cool floor. Sometimes he was whining a bit but then he’ll come over and put his big heavy head in your lap for attention, then go back and lay down. He met a few shelter employees and volunteers on his walk and enjoyed receiving affection, offering soft happy tail wags. For such a large dog, I was impressed with his good manners”.
