April is 5 years old (approx. DOB tbd), female, 50 lbs., vetted, is or will be spayed, and micro-chipped. April was found homeless in NC and is a very sweet girl. She gets along just fine with other dogs; and has a little crush on Tommy so we rescued both! In her current foster home with Tommy she lacks confidence and needs to work on that. April has exhibited no prey drive and seems ok with cats, has medium energy, loves to go for leashed walks in the woods (that’s when she comes out of her shell most), seems insecure around people likely from not having been socialized much, and would love another confident dog in the home to learn from. She is crate trained and likes it, seems scared of new things outside so a calmer rural home would be best for her. April is a new rescue who is very sweet and is unsure of herself. The best home for her would be in a very rural place that is quiet with another dog that is confident in themselves and respectful of her anxiety. She must be allowed to be on the furniture and have someone to wrap her up like a burrito. She would thrive in an environment where she can focus on herself and not the distractions and noises around her. She knows her name as Amara. She would be okay with cats as long as they are dog savvy and she would be okay being left alone during the day in a quiet environment with another dog.
