Bonnie is 3 years old (approx. DOB 5-29-18), female, 40 lbs., vetted, is or will be spayed, and micro-chipped. Bonnie was found as a homeless stray with Clyde; they both are very sweet and very scared of the big world! We found Bonnie and Clyde in person at the shelter in NC huddled in the corner; we knew they stood little chance of making it out of the shelter so we rescued them! Loud noises, barking dogs, etc. scare them so the City life is not a good fit. We felt although they love each other they were best getting away from each other’s insecurities and both are now growing everyday with their fosters in Vermont. Bonnie would do well in any loving home with another dog as long as her caretakers understand her boundaries help push her to face her fears. She is a very sweet and gentle pup and very playful. As soon as you grab a toy, Bonnie is ready to play (no coaxing required). Bonnie is crate trained (and likes her crate), does not care to go for car rides yet, potty trained, has medium energy, is doing well on a leash, knows Sit, Come, Laydown, No, and is fearful of strangers. Bonnie enjoy other dog’s company and looks to them for leadership. She is willing to share food, treats, toys, couch without aggression or jealously. We guess she would be good with cats too1 Stay tuned for more information as Bonnie is a new rescue!
